Press Release from the President of Vietnam

To my Vietnamese brothers and sisters, both Hoa and Kinh, I address you today as your new President. Since the disturbing disappearance of Truong Tan Sang it has been decided that I should fill the role of Head of State in addition to my duties as General Secretary of the Communist Party and the Central Military Commission. We need a strong leader in order to help steer our glorious nation through these troubling times and I will strive to be that leader. Investigations into the fate of the former President have produced no leads thus far, but it is believed that he was likely kidnapped by the notorious ISEA and is likely dead.

As President I intend to continue uprooting corruption within our government and improving our national economy. Vietnam is a strong, proud, wonderful country and I will see that the world knows it. I am pursuing peaceful resolutions to our issues in the South China Sea and on our mainland borders.
