Soldiers of this beautiful country, the Philippines,

Our existence has become difficult. Not only are we being pressured by the Chinese to give up a part of our sovereignty, and with it, a part of our soul-- our very existence—but we are also beset with the plague of terrorism. ISEA has committed more than its fair share of atrocities, and they are damned criminals in the eyes of Our Lord.

However, soldiers, you are the protectors of this state: the towering shield of its heart, and the blade it wields to cleave its enemies. Often times, you may not understand what I, the Chief of Staff, or the President are doing, but know this: as you are the sword, we are the hand that guides it. As you are the shield, we are the hand the wields it. Recently, the president called off hostilities against the Vietnamese. This was at my behest: I asked this of you through our beloved president. I know that you crave reason to fire at your fellow man, and even stronger reason to stop defending your families. I ask much of you, and in the future, I will ask more, because our enemies will not rest until we are but footnotes in the annals of history.

Though I ask much, I must ask this too: put your faith in this cabinet and myself, and you will know everlasting freedom.
