Press Statement from the Government of China

Reported intelligence gathered by the Government of the People’s Republic of China has found contention between the Vietnamese and Filipino Governments. According to reports, leaders from the two cabinets were reported to have been “yelling furiously at each other for over 2.5 hours”. Although clear dialogue was not recorded there were statements such as “IT WAS YOUR FAULT” made by the President of Vietnam. The PRC is concerned of what seems to be a wedge being driven between the two countries and encourages all actors in the region to maintain diplomacy to ensure security. If necessary, the PRC is willing to play a mediating role for the conflict.
