Press Statement from the Government of the United States

The United States condemns in the most unequivocable terms the recent bombing of our consulate in the Philippines. The United States will do whatever is necessary to protect itself and citizens at home and abroad. We believe that it is important any American overseas should enjoy the same protections and safety that they experience at home. As such, we will take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that those responsible will be brought to justice.
