It is the Government of the Republic of the Philippines
deepest regret to announce the kidnapping of the Secretary of Interior and
Local Government, Mar Roxas. Mar Roxas has been kidnapped by the Islamic State
of East Asia. This group is using terror tactics to control the Philippine Government in order to achieve their own goals and
aspirations. Furthermore, they request that we, the government of the
Philippines give into their demands. We the Government of the Republic of the
Philippines will not give in to their demands, as the actions of a small group
do not affect the whole. We will do what we see fit and continue our search for
Mar Roxas and we will update you if we receive any information. We will also be
contacting Mar Roxas’ family shortly to inform them of this devastating news.
