Update: Philippines Airline Flight Possibly Attacked?
LOS ANGELES--
Independent investigators believe that the recent crash of Philippines Airlines Flight 102 may not have been caused by actions on board the aircraft. Initial suspicions among the Philippine public blamed ISEA militants, particularly in response to the recent attacks conducted throughout the country. ISEA has not yet claimed any responsibility.
Analysts in the aerospace industry believe that only an explosion caused by an outside factor, such as a missile strike, could be responsible for such a rapid descent. The American and Philippine government has not supported such arguments. No other country has claimed involvement.
