The People’s Republic of China strongly condemns the unjustified attacks on the Hoa People in Northern Vietnam that have taken place over the last several days. The People’s Republic of China is against any attacks on civilians in principle, and expects the Vietnamese government to take action to address these inhuman actions against their own citizens. The Vietnamese Government purports to exist as a representative of the entire Vietnamese population, and if it does not fulfill these duties, we anticipate consequences for both it and the region, which would be regrettable. China continues to offer asylum for those who have been victimized in this tragedy.
