PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS
The citizens of the People’s Republic of China are mourning today over the loss of dozens potentially 115 of our countrymen lost in the sinking of the
warship Nanjing
in the South
China Sea. We have yet to fully ascertain the circumstances of the sinking but there will be thorough
investigations into the matter. We hope to find that no foreign forces were involved in this sinking as
that would be considered a malicious act directed at the People’s Republic of China, and will not be
taken lightly.
